Christian Montagnards in Vietnam
Dear Prime Minister,
I am writing this letter in order to raise your attention to the systematic human rights violations committed on Christian Montagnards in Vietnam.
Christians, belonging to an ethnic minority, are subject to assaults by authorities since many years. Reports talk about numerous arbitrary house searches, arrests but also maltreatment and torture. The aim behind these assaults is to force Christians to renounce their religion and to destroy any community work.
The behaviour of Vietnamese authorities is not only against the Vietnamese Constitution but also against the International Pact on Civil and Political Rights, which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has ratified.
I therefore urge you, to use your influence in order to stop these unlawful actions of local security forces and to guarantee Christian Montagnards' rights.
